Abrams Hall is one of the many historical buildings that are part of a 66-acre redevelopment of the former Walter Reed Army Medical Center.
It is located in the heart of Upper Northwest DC at The Parks at Walter Reed.
The building was designed to house seniors in different stages of their lives. From senior veterans, seniors that need affordable housing, to seniors that need assistance with daily activities and need housing.
Abrams Assisted Living at Walter Reed offers an assisted living program for seniors 62+, who need assistance with their activities of daily living, have limited income, and are in need of housing.
Abrams Hall building was renovated and divided into 3 separate projects; 14 South, 14 Middle, and 14 North (Abrams Assisted Living). Although they are all low-income senior housing, they each have been designed to address different needs and audiences:

14 South is an affordable development providing permanent, supportive housing with 77 studio apartments for previously homeless US veterans.

14 Middle is home to Abrams Hall Senior Living Apartments, an affordable senior housing with 80 one-bedroom apartments for seniors. Sixty-four units target seniors below 50% area median income (AMI), and the remaining units target seniors below 30% (AMI).

14 North is home to Abrams Assisted Living, an affordable senior living community, offering 54 private studio apartments designed to serve residents of the District of Columbia who are age 62+, need assistance with their activities of daily living, need housing and have extremely low income.
