Residents of the District of Columbia who are age 62+, need assistance with their activities of daily living, have extremely low income, and need housing.

Abrams Assisted Living is a licensed assisted living community for seniors who need support with activities of daily living such as help with dressing, bathing, grooming, and medication management.

The Parks is a 66-acre redevelopment of the former Walter Reed Army Medical Center located in the Upper Northwest DC. It includes almost 500,000 square feet of retail and offices, over 2,600 condos, townhomes, apartments, and affordable housing, and an abundance of outdoor amenities through a network of parks and plazas.

Abrams Assisted Living is in the north section of the Abrams Hall building, west of the Great Lawn.

Abrams Hall includes 3 separate projects that focuses on low-income senior living; 14 South, 14 Middle and 14 North (Abrams Assisted Living).

• 14 South is affordable housing providing permanent, supportive housing with 77 studio apartments for previously homeless US veterans.

• 14 Middle is home to Abrams Hall Senior Living, affordable senior housing with 80 one-bedroom apartments for seniors. Sixty-four units serving seniors below 50% of the area median income (AMI), and the remaining units serve seniors below 30% (AMI).

• 14 North is home to Abrams Assisted Living, an affordable senior living community, offering 54 private studio apartments designed to serve residents of the District of Columbia who are age 62+, need assistance with their activities of daily living, need housing and have extremely low income.

Yes, residents are encouraged to bring their own belongings to make their apartment feel like home. Or you may choose to use our furniture package, which includes a twin bed, nightstand and lamp, dresser and mirror and a comfortable chair.
